Swamy/New series/ID/84 - ID of the plant

I am forwarding herewith  a few photos of the plant grown in a garden  nearby Trivandrum.   It looks  more  like Combretum  constrictum.   Please confirm the ID.  It  is very confusing as  the photos of  Xanthostemon youngii  also look almost similar. I too agree with you for Combretum, which recently identified this species for ornamental purposes, even though non-native to India.
