Thanks Mr. Soares, Nice photo of the flower and tree. While taking the pictures I did not knew that this is Indian screw tree, otherwise I would have taken more pictures of the flowers and tree.

It is not a tree. it is a shrub named Helicteres isora , family: Sterculiaceae

There were many of these shrubs blooming in the forest of Tada, at the Andhra border with Tamil Nadu, when our Chennai Trekking Club did a Clean-up of the stream and its banks on November 1st last year.
