I am afraid that this doesn't look like Stenotaphrum dimidiatum (L.) Brongn., for this grass in this thread looks entirely different than what I see in FoI or in http://idao.cirad.fr/index.php?p=species&search=poacea&pageID=3 (5th from top).

If I do not make grave mistake this is Digitaria and most likely D. radicosa as in https://groups.google.com/forum/?fromgroups#!topic/indiantreepix/3bMTdDJ0kyQ
