Is this Terminalia catapa

This beautiful Terminalia is flowering, Mumbai. Hope this is Terminalia catapa. I do get confused  between Terminalia bellerica ( some books spell this as T. bellirica and some as T. bellerica) and Terminalia catapa. The mature leaves turn red as informed  in Trees of Mumbai, pg 79. Will be very grateful to know if there is a scientific explanation for this phenomenon which can be shared. Thank you.

The basionym is Myrobalanus bellirica Gaertn. (Fruct. Sem. Pl. 2: 90, t. 97. 1791). Roxburgh transferred M. bellirica to Terminalia as "T. bellerica (Gaertn.) Roxb.".
