Dear Members,
Am attaching  photos of a plant which I think is Lepidium didymum. All photos were taken in second half of April 2023. The habitat is the side of a path in Srinagar, It has four sepals two tiny stamens with flat lower ends (1 mm long) and a large ovary with a very short style .Petals are absent. Small squares in all photos except photo3 are 1squaremm. In photo 3 small squares are not visible and visible squares are of 5sqmm area.
An interesting puzzle
I would like to draw attention to an interesting puzzle regarding this plant, I found the pollen grains to be elliptical or spindle shaped(Fusiform) (See Photo 8 and 9) but a google search shows the pollen grains of this plant  to be somewhat globose. Based on pollen morphology is our Himalayan plant a different subspecies of the European plant ? The Botany Departments of Universities in Himalayan states may like to investigate it further.
Regards
Taffazull

Dear Gurcharan ji,
Thanks a lot for your appreciation.
What puzzles me is the fusifòrm pollen grains that I saw and photographed.
Of course I depended on Google search for comparision which might have misled me
With sincere regards

Having examined the pollen grains of another crucifer I find that fusiform pollen grains are usual for cruciferae.I was misled by some images on google search to think that they are unusual.
