Spiraea prunifolia Schneid., Ill. Handb. Laubholzk. 1(4): 450 450 1905.  var. prunifolia

Common name: Bridal Wealth

Deciduous shrub, up to 1.8 m tall with slender arching branches, finely pubescent when young; leaves ovate-elliptic, 25-45 mm long, finely toothed, softly pubescent beneath; flowers white, double, 9-12 mm in diam, in sessile 3-6 flowered umbels; pedicels 12-25 mm long, bracts leaf-like, 5-7 mm long; hypanthium hairy outside, shorter than sepals; sepals triangular-ovate, 1.5-2 mm long; petals white longer than sepals, obovate to suborbicular.

Often planted in gardens, photographed from above Cheshma Shahi and Harwan Garden in Kashmir.
