Abies pindrow from Kashmir, growing at higher altitudes, extending to the tree line. The trees are very tall, conical cown and leaves somewhat distichous, flattened, with two silvery lines beneath, hence the name silver fir. Photographed from Gulmarg on June 20, 2010
