Hallo,
Lupins or lupines (North America) are the members of the genus Lupinus in the legume family (Fabaceae).  Please see  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lupin
German name Lupine, again a pioneer plant, very common in wildness, along the roadside, fences etc.. beautiful colors but blue is more common.

The plant in the attached photo is Lupinus polyphyllus  Lindl. commonly known as "Big Leaf Lupin".
