Peth Kothaligad, September 2021 :: Diospyros ferrea for validation :: ARK2022-011

Hello friends

This was clicked at Peth Kothaligad hill fort near Karjat, MH in September 2021.

This is a very long shot.

I found great similarity of the fruits with those of Diospyros ferrea that I posted from Amboli, MH a couple of months ago at Amboli, MH :: Tree with small fruits for ID :: ARK2021-093.

Could you please validate.

This is Lagerstroemia parviflora Roxb. [Lythraceae]. The leaf arrangement is clearly opposite here. The leaves of Diospyros spp. are alternately arranged.
