Dear Members,
Please help confirm if this weed is Amaranthus spinosus.
It is phenotypically very similar to another Amaranthus species (A.viridis?) growing along with it but differs in having two thorn like stipules and is less commonly found.
Habitat: Wild growing in a field in Rawathpora Srinagar Kashmir
Habit: Herb about 2 feet in height
All photos were tqken in the last week of June 2026
Regards
