Location: Janori, Shegaon, Buldana, MH.
Elevation: 200m.
Habitat: Black soil
Date: 34/10/2025
Height: 4-6 ft.

Looks like Dichanthium aristatum (Poir.) C.E.Hubb. The species has no specific known name in Marathi. Good palatable grass. Highly preferred by livestock.
Often confused with Dichanthium annulatum, मारवेल गवत, घान्या मार्वेल, पसरऱ्या मारवेल etc. in Marathi.
