Looks like Campsis, but I need to see the foliage.

Ken.

Looks more like allamanda violacea.

Dear Anand Ji,
I don't think this is Allamanda violacea in which flowers are of violet colour (different shades)
Campsis is the perfect choice but hard to determine the species without the foliage.

Allamanda violacea: http://www.google.co.in/images?hl=en&rlz=1B3GGLL_enIN374IN374&q=allamanda%20violacea&um=1&ie=UTF-8&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi

Campsis:

Campsis flowers are more of a tubular shape I think. The link you have sent of allamanda has flowers not very different from what Padminiji's photo shows. Anyway you are the expert.

I am no expert, but it is not an allamanda.
The funny thing is that I got hold of the Bignonia  tag only after putting some pics up on the ITP site a year ago!

Thanks a ton, Ken.
I just went thro the pics on the Missouri site, of both Bignonia Capreolata and Campsis radicans.

It is definitely the Campsis.
I particularly remember the aerial roots forming on the stem and the leaves being just like those shown. I don't think there have been any seeds; at least my friend has not noticed any. In fact, we saw a new plant nearby and we wondered how it had sprouted  and then presumed it was a sucker.
By the way, my camera does not seem to have done justice to the rich orange colour of the flower.
Thanks,
Padmini Raghavan.

I think Campsis × tagliabuana (Vis.) Rehder as per comparative images and keys at Campsis
