Verbascum chinensis from kaithal-Haryana

Dear All,
This herb was photographed from fields near my village in Distt.
Kaithal, Haryana. Please validate the identity, does it still belong
to Scrophulariaceae?

I haven't smelt the leaves (and I am sorry not even the flowers) but will do it.

Hello,
This plant is verbascum chinensis.I have also observed the same plant
in SGNP, Borivli,at open and dry places, in flowering stage. These
plants are few in nos.
