Dear all,
please help to id this Amaranthaceae member. Is this any variety of Achyranthes species?

Location- Place, Altitude, GP

ca.2200asl; Kodaikanal, TN

Habitat- Garden/ Urban/ Wild/ Type- 

roadside; perhaps weed

Plant Habit-

straggling herb

Height/Length- 

ca. 1 M

Leaves Type/ Shape/ Size- 

ca. 10 x 3 cm; reddish margin; 

Inflorescence Type/ Size- 

ca. 10cm long spike

Flowers Size/ Colour/ Calyx/ Bracts- 

pinkish

Fruits Type/ Shape/ Size Seeds-

Thank you all for the confirmed id. Sennaiyuruvi is the Tamil name. I hope this plant grows in evergreen or moist deciduous forests.
