Can you help in identifying this plant. This is common plant seen on the road side. At present flowering. Grows to about one and half metre.

It is one of the Cassia species.  Check the floral characters in the local flora (preferably Gamble) and confirm the species.

To me it appears like Cassia occidentalis only.

I shot this(attached pic) last month and was trying to find the i.d. It looks the same. I think it is Cassia occidentalis.
