Dear Mr. Garg,

Could the members of the esteemed group assist in the ID of these alpine flowers from the wartime site of Sando Top, which lies to the east of Tiger Hill, in the Drass LoC sector. The altitude is about 13,900 feet and is a restricted area.

The photos were taken by Col. (Dr.) Rajesh Adhau, Sena Medal (Gallantry), who was the RMO for the 13 JAK Rifles (Bravest of the Brave) infantry battalion during Op Vijay, 1999. Adhau had gone on a commemorative expedition to the high-altitude battlefields of Kargil in the first two weeks of July 2025.

With warm regards & best wishes,

Vikram Jit Singh.

Chandigarh.

These are all the images I have.

Col. Adhau is neither a professional botanist nor a photographer. He took these photos while on an Army commemorative expedition of Op Vijay.
