up to 80 cm tall

Leaves Type/ Shape/ Size-

 

Leaves linear, with leaf sheath encircling the internode

Inflorescence Type/ Size-

 

Spike of spikelets, up to 10 cm long, 

Flowers Size/ Colour/ Calyx/ Bracts-

 

spikelets in groups of three at each node, each spikelet single flowered, awn terminal

Fruits Type/ Shape/ Size Seeds-
