Ranunculus muricatus L., Sp. pl. 1:555. 1753

Diffusely branched annual herb with irregularly cut trifid leaves and few achenes with flattened sides that may be tubercled or smooth. Latter specimens were described as R. emuricata, but have been relegated to the synonymy of variable taxon R. muricatus.

Common names: Rough-fruit buttercup

Photographed from Delhi and Kashmir, usually found in wet situations.
