pls help in id of this Nepali Mirch
Capsicum sp
Small herb from Solanaceae up to 1 mt high
Photo taken 7-5-2010 Arya PG College Panipat Campus Cultivated by  a Nepali Worker
leaves simple, flowers white

You are right, the plant is cherry pepper, some times also known as Capsicum annuum var. cerasiforme (sorting plant names; Taiwan Plant Names; Annotated checklist of Flowering Plants of nepal), but considered C. annuum var. annuum by GRIN. Cherry pepper fruits are usually nodding but rarely erect also like bird cherry, which however has larger flowers and much narrower leaves.
