Place: along Katraj Ghat near Pune, Maharashtra.
Time: July 12, 2008 at 11.08am
Habit: large shrub (or small tree)
Habitat: most probably planted (along road near human settlement)
Plant height: about 10 ft
Flower size: about 1.5" - 2" across
Apologies for not covering various aspects of the plant; only two photos available.

I also think this is one of the cultivars of Gardenia jasminoides.
