Medicago polymorpha L. (syn: M. hispida Gaertn., M. denticulata Willd.) from Delhi, common as weed in fields, wastelands, and roadsides. Photographed in March from Vikas Puri, New Delhi.

Common names
English: Californian bur clover, Toothed bur clover, Toothed medik
Hindi, Punjab: Maina
Delhi: Maina, Chandausi
French: Luzerne hérissée
German: Rauher Schneckenklee

Used as green fodder, also as vegetable, also for soil binding.
