grass homeyard from Hooghly 16/8/12 SK3

Sir,

This grass is from my homeyard, as slim as a pin.

Species : UNKNOWN

Habit & Habitat : grass in front-yard

• about 15 cm high
• leaves : 3.5 cm x 0.25 cm
• raceme 2, 4.5 cm

Date : 15/8/12, 12.03 P.M.

Place : Nalikul (Hooghly)

This could be some species of Digitaria, i am not sure about species but could be D. sanguinalis,
Manoj Chandran Sir would be best, who can tell more about the species.

Thank you very much for the probable ID of this grass. In one of my earlier post Manoj Sir elaborated on D. sanguinalis - https://groups.google.com/d/topic/indiantreepix/qzk-tk371NY/discussion.

I think, not sure though, i can see the following features of Digitaria sanguinalis in my pictures - 

1. stiffer raceme
2. zig zag winged rachis
3. larger upper glume
