Flower Id-Is it Bauhinia?

Hello all,

this was photographed at a friend's house in South Calcutta. Looks like Kanchan but the leaves look slightly different. Would appreciate ID help.

Looks like Bauhinia acuminata to me.

Yes I have two plants, and they are flowering just now. As you have seen the petals are pointed unlike other bauhinias.
