Hello friends

This tree was seen by the roadside in Tamhini ghat near Pune, MH in Aug 2019.
I guess this is Terminalia bellirica.

This is my last posting from this series.
Thank you being so patient and provide IDs or validating the IDs of so many of my postings this month.

Regards
Alka Khare

Alka Ji,
Some confusion in the subject line.
You have written Impatiens acaulis.

Thanks Paradesi ji for pointing out. I had believed it to be T. bellirica.

If not T. bellirica, then what? Hope the experts are able to provide us some info.

@Aarti ji
Yes, the subject line is misleading, a Copy paste issue from the earlier post, Apologies!

I realised the mistake, however, by then the post was already created and we cannot change the subject line when the post has been created.
Unless, we delete this thread and I repost again.

Garg ji, can we do anything about it?

Alka Ji, am damn sure it's not bellerica, as per my observation could be T. chebula only, please check once with local flora for sp.conformation,
With regards.

Thank you Paradesi ji and Radha ji for the correction.

I was confused because I thought the shape of the fruits did not match the ones I had posted earlier.
But it does not match T. bellirica as well.
I realise my mistake now.

Terminalia chebula. Chebulic myrobalan :  The fruits used  for tanning . Salem variety is the best . Also used in many ayurvedic preparations especially Triphala , a combination of 3 fruits (chebulic + Belleric myrobalan + Amla) .
