Dear friends,

This plant is starting to bloom right now.. BUT a similar plant was seen
at a higher altitude (2900 mts) in the month of April... which I had
thought to be 'Gagea elegans'.. NOW I'm confused...

Location Kalatope
Altitude 2100 mts
Habit herb
Habitat wild
Plant height 10 inches

regards
Alok

Alok ji
No need to confuse with Gagea elegans, which has single leaf per plant, scape is not long hairy, and more importantly ovary is superior.

Your plant Hypoxis aurea has more than one leaves at base, leaves and scape are long hairy and you can see inferior ovary below the perianth.
