A medium sized tree for ID
seen on Apte road Pune in Jan 2010.
Leaves alternate coriaceous. Flower not fully opened...........4 petals ?united.

may be a Clusiaceae member...leaves are coriaceous,stem too is darker
and the flower gives an idea about Garcinia spp. does it hav a yellow
sap and the leaves with sour taste??

Yes, Mr. Ayyappan and Dr. Hari are right, it is Garcinia indica. Its a
male tree and the owner must be complaining of 'no fruits'. Regds,
