Hello friends

This small shrub was captured at Tangmarg, J&K in April 2023.

Unfortunately, this is the only pic I have.

Is it possible to ID based on this lone pic?

This is Centaurea iberica
C. calcitrapa has white lanate leaves 

Key from BSI Flora


5a. Young leaves lanate; involucre 6-8 mm in diam. 2. Centaurea calcitrapa
b. Young leaves green, hispidulous; involucre 9-14 mm in diam. 5. Centaurea iberica
