Although fruiting bodies are still immature but this reminds me of Flammulina sp. (Physalacriaceae) 

Saroj ji any idea of wood host tree please try to collect host tree data also while picturing mushroom beacause many a times it really aids in correct identification of mushroom.
I will post my Flammulina cf. populonica images for comparison shortly.

It was a decayed root stock. I shall keep in mind in future!

Flammulina belongs to Physalacriaceae as per COL and most recent papers and other sites http://www.catalogueoflife.org/col/details/species/id/763e441f9de7ec8f7bcf322879c8ebe2

Sir I think you confused it with Flammulina Suter. now basionym of Phenacohelix genera which belongs to Charopidae (Mollusca) and is a land snail genera and family, not a mushroom :-)

Yes It is  Flammulina sp, (Physalacriaceae) close to F. velutipes (Curtis) Singer
