Here is areply from Mahendra Prasad ji:
"Regarding IMG_1639 & 41, found in IIT Mumbai.  This is Commelina benghalensis. This "variety " has long leaves, almost 10 cm and grows quite tall if it gets support, upto 60 cm high. The flowers are almost 2 cm wide. Mainly found in Rainy season. I have it in my garden also in Kolkata."

this plant is known for chasmocleistogamy.
that is it shows open flowers above ground, where pollen grains can be tranfered by insects hence regular pollination occurs chasmogamous.
but this plant also shows underground flowers where insects can not reach, or the plants feel so,.
in evolution process therefore modification has occured where underground flowers donot open, remain closed, so hat the polengrains of the same flower can be shed off within the flower itself and pollination , fertilisation occurs hence cleistogamy.
plant is thus chasmocleitogamous.
if you pluck a plant matured or quite old you can see some bud like structures, they r the closed flowers.
many days people are taking interest in this plant, and somebody has send beautiful photographs of the plant on net, so thought of writting
