Yes Balkar. The wild species has lot of seeds and inedible. Several cultivars including Saba Green are cooking bananas, largely cooked as vegetable and not used as table fruits unlike M. paradisiaca, the table banana.

Dear Sir i missed the opportunity to capture 4-5 spp. of Bananas from Tirupati then. I was in impression that all types of bananas are same sp, so did not tried to go to nearby fields for complete capture. Next time i will certainly try.
