Hi,

For comments on the first plant see:
http://groups.google.com/group/indiantreepix/browse_thread/thread/f7c32f3776525710/9eeee1dfc3929888?lnk=gst&q=arisaema#

The second species is Arisaema dahaiense. Arisaema dahaiense is
originally described from China and is a sister species of Arisaema
galeatum from West Bengal. Most likely these 2 species are slowly
sliding from one species into the other going from west to east. The
form on the pictures still has some green in the spathe, the Chinese
forms are darker colored in shades of purple and brown purple.
Arisaema dahaiense is also reported from the state of Nagaland.

For the Amorphophallus I asked the help of the Amorphophallus expert
Wilbert Hetterscheid. His comments for the first green species are
that it can only be Am. napalensis based on the surface of the
appendix but a very unusual and interesting form as the appendix shape
is not as it usually is for this species and looks more like the
appendix of Am. krausei. So an unsual form of Amorphophallus
napalensis
The second species is Am. kachinensis (synonym Am. bannaensis H. Li)
according to Wilbert Hetterscheid.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Pascal
