Bidens bipinnata L., Sp. Pl. 832. 1753

Common name: Spanish needles

This species is quite distinct from related species B. biternata in shorter spreading habit usually less than 80 cm tall, bipinnatisect leaves, with much smaller segments, margin entire; heads with 1-5 yellow ray florets; cypselae 10-14 mm long withj 2-4 mm long barbate 2-4 awns.

Yes Balkar ji, I was looking for this plant for a long time. It is one thing to read keys and descriptions in books, and another to see the plant yourself. Now I know I wont confuse between B. bipinnata and B. biternata.
