They are the fruit of Cullenia exarilata, a favourite of the Lion-tailed Macaque.

Agree with Dinesh - the second one is Dillenia indica, the first is Dysoxylum spectabilis.

Agreed Dr.Giby. My mistake. It is a species of Dysoxylum possibly Dysoxylum binectariferum. Sending one of my photographs taken at Garo Hills, Meghalaya.
