Habit:Tree

 

Habitat:Wild,Evergreen forest.

 

Sighting:Sakaleshpur,Karnataka,about 1000 msl

Dear all,
I think the ID of the posted plant is Grewia heterotricha Mast.
During my recent exploration to Agumbe, I learnt there is slight difference in the position of umbels among the two species ... Mayur ji needs to validate my thoughts ...in case of umbellifera - the umbels arise from leaf axils ... whereas in case of heterotricha, the umbels arise leaf-opposed.
