Ankush ji , I think height should not be a factor in identification in Cyperaceae ...in close to 10 species of Cyperus , I find a extreme variation in height , totally regulated by water availability...for example C. rptundus can be six inches to four feet  . In other genera , variation is probably not that extreme .
