Dear members,
23/09/2012 Pune
request to Id a wild herb ht 6 in, 
leaf 4cm x1 cm, soft, 
flower 2mm head , it seemed all flowers had only 3 petals. No fruits were seen

I don't know, Madam, if you still access eFI site or receive emails from the group. I didn't forget that in those days we had certain personal communication over this species. But I was not ready then, and asteraceae is still complicated to me.

However, this plant should be Tridax procumbens L., not the usual form we see around. (http://www.plantsoftheworldonline.org/taxon/urn:lsid:ipni.org:names:257735-2).

It took me 9-long years!!!

Initially it was my concern too, Sir. But then I thought those heads are actually in early stages of developing individual peduncle. Please check the attached plates - two from uploaded set and the other two plates from photographs I captured this afternoon.
