Please help to id this common garden flower found in a Bryants park, Kodaikanal.

Plant Habit-

Height/Length-

c. 10 x 3 cm; linear-ovate

Inflorescence Type/ Size- 

terminal;

I too initially thought this belongs to Lillaceae s.l. Yes, the plant is Alstroemeria aurea Graham of Alstroemeriaceae.
The attached photos taken from Ooty town at 2200MSL on 23Jan 2011.

Alstroemeria aurantiaca is a synonym of A. aurea
