Tree for ID-201209-RK-3

Please provide ID if possible.The tree was bare of leaves.Could not
get a pic of trunk.Being in the forest it was growing in a tangle of
bushes,other growth & on a steep sloping surface.Pic taken-08-12-09 in
the Kallipaara hill,Thattekad,Kerala.

Actually lot of variations can be observed in this Bombax species. it
shows variation in color of petals, color of stamen, size of flower,
etc.
need to workout for all the variations.
the current species could be Bombax insigne as rightly pointed by Neil
ji.
