Dear friends,

A few photographs of Garcinia gummi-gutta. 

Photographed from a garden in Calicut during March 2013. Though is a pretty big tree it seems that it has never fruited. Are the flowers in the photograph female flowers? 

Popularly known as Malabar Tamarind or 'Kudampuli'  (കുടമ്പുളി) in Malayalam.

"All the photographs put under Garcinia travancorica are of Garcinia gummi-gutta only. Garcinia travancorica is very different. I have photographs of G. travancorica. Pl tell how I can upload,"
