Sir,

Though this plant now-a-days can be regarded as a common garden plant. But i fail to remember if i saw it even a few decades ago. I do not know its Bengali name and i am afraid that it hardly has any.

Species : Pseuderanthemum reticulatum (family : Acanthaceae)

Date : 28/02/2012 , 12.23 p.m. (except the first image)

Place : Hooghly, West Bengal

Type : Garden, perennial

Very good photographs Surajit ji. This plant more commonly known as P. atropurpureum is now correctly known as 

Pseuderanthemum carruthersii (Seem.) Guillaumin
