Heracleum dalgadianum S.M.Almeida, by classification must be "grayish- hirsute/hirtellus....atleast on the lower surface of leaves" (Almeida, Fl. of MH. vol.4: 354). But the one posted by Radha seems to be totally glabrous.It can be either Heracleum grande or Heracleum aquilegifolium. Based on the leaves, I stick to H.grande (Dalzell & A. Gibson) Mukhop.
Meanwhile, Dr. Neil, One must be thankful to your Great Grand father, Dr. S. R. Dalgado, who notably worked for bridging Portugese and Konkani languages. I never knew he wrote on floristic aspect too ! I would love to read his observations, please try to procure a copy and share.
