Common Name: Dorli - amri
Family: Orchidaceae
Photographed: 04th Aug., 2009
Location: Matheran.
Camera: Olympus SP570UZ
Lens: OLYMPUS ED LENS AF ZOOM 4.6 - 92 mm
Description: Occasional in forest under growth at high elevation in Hills..

Thanks Adesh, I checked it turned out to be of Impatiens balsamina
that is Terda in Marathi. Experts to kindly confirm.

Yes it is Impatiens species, not Geodorum densiflorum which is:

Indeed it is Terda, Indisches Springkraut (German) and is found especially
near water and in the south of germany. Once it is in ur garden, u can't get
rid of it easily so ppl don't like it much.
But why they say "terdyacha Tanga teen divas"? I havn't watched it changing
the color.

no colour changes. It colours the countryside pink but doesn't remain long. it is used for things short-lived.

This is dicot, impatiens. Geodorum is an orchid, genus can be easily
identified by the decurved inflorescence.
