Pl. check the fruit of Pankycodon purpureus (Wall.) D.Y.Hong & X.T.Ma as per GBIF specimens (one), though to me it looks different.

Could not find anything close as per comparative images at 
https://efloraofindia.com/efi/codonopsis/

What are the species reported from your area?

Do you think it can be from some related genus?

Fruits appear similar in construction to that of

But I could not find a matching species.

Yes, very typical specimens and much closer to Cyclocodon, will be checked for flower morphology to confirm.
