Awesome !  I also visited Vithiri  (Wayanad)  for  4 days  during  October and came across several plants you have posted.  This is one among them.   This is an important medicinal plant. "Ceylon Clematis" used in Ayurveda.  Brief info on its use :
It contains  alkaloids, flavonoids, phenolics, terpenoids, etc.The aerial parts of Naravelia zeylanica traditionally used in vitiated vata, pitta, inflammation, skin diseases.   Vine is crushed and inhaled to cure headache; fresh stems chewed in toothache; plant paste consumed with Borassus flabellifer for chest pain. Young leaves paste applied on skin diseases and ulcers, and on forehead for cold and headache; roots of Eranthemum palatiferum pounded with leaves of Naravelia zeylanica and applied to treat bone fracture. Crushed roots inhaled to cure cold and fever.
Some n A few names  used in  karnataka are : balluli hambu, charachara balli, naakchaikani, neendamalli
