Jacquemontia violacea syn J pentantha (Jacquemontia) in KBR national Park in Hyderabad, AP.  It really looked lovely as a creeper on iron railing.

It is a very common climber in Chennai. It grows luxuriously.

Lovely collection and photos of Convolvulus, Bindweed, Morning Glory by Dinesh Valke on link provided. One can see yellow, white, pink, orange, red apart from the usual blues.

My wife brought a creeper of Jacquemontia from a nursery. at present I have put it in a pot. Bose says that it is excellent for screning. What I saw was that its structure very much resembles ipomea or morning glory. Rather it is a miniature ipomea!
At present it has not flowered profusely at my place. i am enclosong a couple of photographs.
Best wishes,
akbhatt
