Caesalpinia bonduc (L.) Roxb. ? from Hooghly 21/8/12 SK2

Sir,

Identification is tricky when one finds an unknown plant without its flowers or fruits. After searching for quite sometimes, i think, i finally come closer to its ID.

Species : Caesalpinia bonduc (L.) Roxb. ?

Bengali name : NATA (assuming the ID is correct)

Habit & Habitat : wild shrub (?) in a low wasteland at village outskirts, about 5 feet, highly prickly, i am sorry for failing to provide further details, for i thought it would be easy to ID this unique plant

Date : 18/8/12, 3.42 P.M.

Place : Khanpur (Hooghly - Howrah border)
