Small annual herb, erect, slender, reaching 40 cm, minutely bristly; leaves few, distant linear-lanceolate, 2-5 cm long; flowers red, pink to orange, on lax few-flowered cyme, sometimes solitary, 5-7 mm across; pedicel short elongating to 6 mm in fruit; calyx lobes linear, 2-5 mm long, corolla tube 4-6 mm long, expanded above, lobes 4, sometimes 3, 2-3 mm long, 2-3 mm long; capsule oblong to globose, 4-6 mm long with a minute beak.
Common in Tiger fall area of Chakrata, photographed in September.
