Date: 2/10/2021

Habit: Herb

Place: IISER campus adjoining Agasthyamalai biosphere reserve, Thiruvananthapuram.

Habitat: found a carpet of these plants in the roadsides. These are very small plants; not growing more than 7 cms. The flowers are purple pink in coloration.

IISER TVM campus adjoining Agasthyamalai biosphere reserve, Thiruvananthapuram.

A handsome herb, with beautiful flowers in racemes. The stamens are didynamous, corolla is gamapetalous (4+1). The head petal has beautiful nectar guides. 

Herb found growing in rubber estates.

A herb found growing in the watery, damp, rocky walls. It bears small pink flowers with intricate patterns on petals.
