Place: Kaas Plateau, Approx. 25 kms north of Satara, Maharashtra.
Location of flower / plant: along road side in grasslands at higher elevation.......we found just one of these on the Kaas plateau.

Species: Alysicarpus belgaumensis
Local name (Marathi) : Gulabi Shevra
English Common name: ??
Notes: Erect annual herb, 30-50 cm high. Stem short, hairy. Branches few, ascending. Flowers in pairs opening from the base of the raceme.
Flowering: September-October.
