A flower...rather its remnant consisting of bracts etc. spotted in Phansad 1st right side trail. March 2011.
This Id was also told by Shrikant ji but I don't recollect. This is from a climber.

It is Symphoramea involucratum

Marathi name :Bhingari

Wonderful shot of the flower.
Just a small finding.
The FOI site says it to be from Family :Verbenaceae while the plant list Kew says that it belongs to Lamiaceae....? may be a recent change
